Nourish 2023

My entry for this years Auckland Studio Potters annual functional ware exhibition at Allpress Studio in Auckland was entitled ‘Matariki and her daughters’. The intention of the piece was to celebrate the rising of the Matariki constellation in the Southern Hemisphere and celebrate Māori New Year. I wanted it to also depict the bringing of the light we pass the shortest day of the year.
